Zone: 4COMMON BALDCYPRESS
Bald Cypress is a majestic, long-lived pyramidal conifer that can grow 50-75 feet tall with a 20-30 foot spread. It has the unique characteristic of having an evergreen appearance while being deciduous. Bright green foliage has a fine texture and turns a terra cotta hue in late fall.
The Bald Cypress thrives in full sun, in moist, acidic, sandy loam soils, and enjoys having its roots submerged. It is often seen near stream banks and waterways.
