Tamarix ramosissima 'Summer Glow' is commonly referred to as Summer Glow Tamarisk. It is a deciduous shrub that features very fine, wispy, feathery, silvery-blue foliage with fuzzy rosy pink flower spikes through summer. It has a vigorous, loose and open habit and makes a striking specimen plant.
Summer Glow Tamarisk is best pruned in late winter when extreme weather has passed. It thrives in full sun in average, well-drained soils. It is tolerant of environmental salt and urban pollution and can thrive in city environments.
