This compact variety is notably fragrant and benefits from regular watering during its first year to establish deep roots, followed by an application of balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring. Because 'Flowerfests White' produces an initial heavy bloom followed by secondary flushes throughout the summer, it is critical to avoid pruning in late winter. Instead, lightly shear the plant immediately after the first spring bloom fades; this removes spent flowers and stimulates the fresh growth necessary for the subsequent reblooming periods.
