PUFF PASTRY™ RASPBERRY STONECROP

Sedum Puff Pastry™ 'Raspberry' is a distinctive member of the Puff Pastry™ series, noted for its unique texture and refined growth habit. It features small, rounded leaves that create a dense appearance, true to its series name. Foliage is a sophisticated blend of blue-green tones with raspberry-pink highlights that intensify as the season progresses. By late summer, it produces clusters of star-shaped flowers that complement the succulent leaves, making it a versatile choice for adding detail to mixed containers or rockery displays.

The ideal spot for 'Raspberry' Sedum is in full sun, which ensures it maintains its tight, mounded shape and develops its best coloration. It requires sharply drained soil and is particularly well-suited for areas with lower fertility, as overly rich soil can cause the growth to become loose or leggy. Like other succulents in the Puff Pastry™ series, it is remarkably drought-tolerant once established. It is a hardy for USDA zones 4 through 9, requiring very little intervention aside from ensuring it does not sit in waterlogged soil during the winter months.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in very well-draining soil with a slightly alkaline pH. Water sparingly, as it is drought-tolerant. Provide full sun. It requires very little maintenance - simply remove the spent flower heads in late autumn or early spring to keep the mound looking tidy and prepared for new growth.
