Sedum 'Boogie Woogie' is a standout groundcover sedum that brings a bright, rhythmic splash of color to the garden. It features small, succulent leaves with a unique bicolored appearance, showcasing mint-green centers and wide, creamy-white margins. The variegation is remarkably stable and dense, creating a tight, mounded carpet that stays low to the ground. In mid-to-late summer, the foliage is almost entirely obscured by a profusion of tiny, star-shaped yellow flowers that provide a high-contrast burst of energy and attract pollinators like bees and butterflies.
For the most vibrant foliage and best flowering, plant 'Boogie Woogie' in a location that receives full sun. It is a rugged performer that thrives in well-drained soil and is notably drought-tolerant once its root system is established. In the landscape, it is an ideal choice for the front of a sunny border, as a colorful filler between stepping stones, or as a trailing accent in mixed containers. Maintenance is very simple-just clear away any winter debris in early spring to make room for the fresh, variegated growth to emerge.
