BUMBLE® BUMBLESNOW PERENNIAL SAGE
Salvia nemorosa 'Bumblesnow' is a refreshing perennial prized for its luminous, crisp white floral display and exceptionally tidy habit. It produces numerous upright spikes of pure white flowers that emerge from matching light green calyxes, creating a clean and bright effect that stands out in the early summer garden. Its aromatic, deep green foliage forms a dense mound that remains attractive and structurally sound even when it is not in bloom. This prolific bloomer serves as a vital nectar hub that consistently attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds with its light, airy color throughout the transition from spring into midsummer.
The ideal spot for Salvia 'Bumblesnow' is a prominent location in full sun with well-draining soil, as it thrives in at least six hours of direct light and can struggle in heavy, waterlogged earth. Because it maintains a very compact and uniform height of only 9 to 12 inches, it is perfectly suited for the very front of a perennial border, as a clean edging along a walkway, or as a vibrant filler in mixed patio containers. Once the initial massive flush of flowers begins to fade, a quick shearing of the spent spikes will encourage the plant to produce a second round of blooms in late summer. It is remarkably heat-tolerant and stays naturally resistant to deer and rabbits, making it a reliable, low-maintenance choice for adding bright white tones to smaller garden spaces.
