FASHIONISTA®EVENING ATTIRE GARDEN SAGE
Salvia 'Evening Attire' is a beautiful perennial from the Fashionista® series, prized for its sophisticated and oversized floral display. It produces large, dense spikes of deep violet-blue flowers that emerge from dark purple calyxes, creating a rich, multi-toned effect. Its foliage consists of aromatic, dark green leaves that form a robust, mounded clump, providing a sturdy base for the massive flower spikes. As a mid-spring to early summer bloomer, it makes a bold statement in the garden and serves as a primary draw for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
The ideal spot for Salvia 'Evening Attire' is in a prominent full sun location with well-draining soil, as it requires at least six hours of direct light to support its heavy bloom production. Because it reaches a substantial height of 18 to 24 inches and has a broad, upright habit, it is perfectly suited for the middle of a perennial border or as a focal point in decorative patio containers. Once the initial flowering cycle is complete, a quick shearing of the spent spikes will encourage the plant to produce a second flush of blooms later in the season.
