GOLDSTURM BLACKEYED SUSAN
Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm' is a classic and widely-beloved perennial, celebrated for its robust, long-lasting performance in the garden. Like 'American Gold Rush,' it is a type of black-eyed Susan, but 'Goldsturm' has been a garden staple for decades, earning the prestigious Perennial Plant of the Year award in 1999.
Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm' thrives in full sun and is adaptable to a variety of soil types, including clay, as long as the drainage is good. While it is drought-tolerant once established, it performs best with consistent moisture, especially in the first growing season. You'll find it forms a tidy, upright clump, which makes it an excellent choice for borders, mass plantings, or adding a bold splash of color to meadows and prairie-style gardens.
