VERANDA® ROXANNE™ SHRUB ROSE

Rosa Roxanne® Veranda™ is a standout member of the Veranda® collection, specifically bred to offer the lush, romantic look of an English rose within a compact, manageable frame. It produces very full, perfectly formed double blooms in a rich, velvety dark red. Flowers are born in small clusters and maintain their deep color without fading, even in the heat of summer. Because of its petite size, reaching only about 2 feet in height and width, it is a premier choice for patio containers, small urban gardens, or as a vibrant edging along garden paths.

Despite its delicate appearance, Roxanne® Veranda™ rose is remarkably sturdy and high-performing. It features an upright, bushy growth habit and is adorned with exceptionally glossy, dark green foliage that provides a professional, "clean" look. Roxanne® Veranda™ is highly resistant to common rose diseases like black spot and powdery mildew, making it a low-maintenance option for those who want high-impact color without constant spraying. It blooms continuously from late spring through the first frost and benefits from a sunny location and a light pruning in early spring to maintain its tidy, rounded shape.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is well-draining. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Prune in early spring. These are 'low-maintenance' roses. You can prune individually to shape, or, for large-scale mass plantings, you can use power shears to trim them back by one-third to encourage a flush of new, vigorous growth and continuous blooms.
