SUMMER ROMANCE™ FLORIBUNDA ROSE

Rosa Summer Romance™ is an exquisite Floribunda rose that captures the essence of a classic English garden with its deeply cupped, cabbage-style blooms. Part of the Parfuma® collection, it is most famous for its intoxicating fragrance, which is a sophisticated blend of spicy anise, fresh apple, and classic rose. The flowers are a soft, clear pink and are incredibly dense with petals, often appearing in large, heavy clusters that create a romantic, nodding effect on the plant.

Summer Romance™ rose grows into a vigorous, upright shrub, typically reaching 4 to 5 feet in height with a slightly narrower spread. Its growth habit and repeat-blooming nature make it an ideal choice for a fragrant hedge, a focal point in a perennial border, or for use in a cutting garden, where its long-lasting, scented stems can be brought indoors. The foliage is a dark, semi-glossy green that offers excellent resistance to black spot and mildew, ensuring the plant remains as healthy as it is beautiful from late spring through the autumn frost.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is rich, well-draining, and amended with organic matter. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Pruning: Prune in early spring, just as the buds begin to swell (but before leaves emerge). Remove all dead, damaged, or diseased wood, then trim healthy stems back to an outward-facing bud to open up the center of the plant for air circulation.
