KNOCK OUT® RAINBOW SHRUB ROSE

Rosa Knock Out® Rainbow is a unique and charming member of the Knock Out® series, known for its playful, multi-colored display. It produces a prolific number of single-petaled blossoms that emerge in a warm coral-pink with a distinct, bright yellow center. As the flowers age, they transition into a soft, light pink, creating a "rainbow" effect as multiple shades appear on the bush simultaneously.

The ideal spot for Knock Out® Rainbow is a sunny location with well-drained soil. It features a very compact, mounding growth habit, typically reaching about 4 feet in height and width. This makes it an excellent choice for low hedges, accenting garden walkways, or adding a splash of varied color to the front of a mixed border. The foliage is a deep, semi-glossy green that often takes on attractive burgundy tones in the autumn, providing late-season interest even after the blooms have finished.

Like its relatives, Rainbow Knock Out® is prized for its ruggedness and ease of care. It is exceptionally resistant to black spot, powdery mildew, and rust, and it does not require deadheading to keep blooming from late spring until the first hard frost.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is well-draining. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Prune in early spring. These are 'low-maintenance' roses. You can prune individually to shape, or, for large-scale mass plantings, you can use power shears to trim them back by one-third to encourage a flush of new, vigorous growth and continuous blooms.
