Zone: 4JULIA CHILD FLORIBUNDA ROSE
Rosa 'Julia Child' is an award-winning Floribunda rose that was personally selected by the famous chef for its delicious, buttery yellow color. The blossoms are exceptionally full and ruffled, resembling an old-fashioned English rose, and they emit a strong, complex fragrance described as a mix of sweet licorice and spice. It is known for its incredible blooming power, producing rounded clusters of flowers in rapid-fire succession from late spring through the autumn.
The ideal spot for 'Julia Child' is a sunny location with rich, well-drained soil. It features a very tidy, rounded, and bushy growth habit, usually reaching about 3 feet in height and width, which makes it perfect for low hedges, perennial borders, or as a standalone specimen in the landscape. One of its most impressive traits is its superb resistance to diseases like black spot and mildew, often staying lush and green even in humid conditions. Because of its manageable size and clean foliage, it also performs beautifully in large containers. To keep the "butter" yellow blooms coming all season long, provide a balanced fertilizer in early spring and prune lightly to maintain its naturally pleasing shape.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is rich, well-draining, and amended with organic matter. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Pruning: Prune in early spring, just as the buds begin to swell (but before leaves emerge). Remove all dead, damaged, or diseased wood, then trim healthy stems back to an outward-facing bud to open up the center of the plant for air circulation.
