DRIFT® PINK GROUNDCOVER ROSE

Rosa Drift® Pink is a high-energy groundcover rose that provides a nearly constant blanket of color throughout the growing season. As a key member of the Drift® series, it is a cross between a resilient shrub rose and a miniature rose, resulting in a plant that is both incredibly tough and perfectly scaled for smaller garden spaces. It produces large clusters of small, deep pink, single-petaled flowers, each accented by a bright yellow center. The blossoms are held against a dense canopy of dark green, glossy foliage that remains remarkably clean and healthy even in challenging weather.

The ideal spot for Rosa Drift® Pink is a location with full sun and excellent soil drainage, where its spreading, mounding habit can be used to maximum effect. It is a superb choice for mass plantings, lining a sunny walkway, or as a colorful "spiller" in a large mixed container. Known for its exceptional disease resistance, it shrugs off black spot and powdery mildew with ease, making it a favorite for low-maintenance landscapes. To keep it performing at its peak, a quick shearing in early spring to about 6 inches will encourage a fresh, vigorous flush of deep pink blooms that will persist until the first hard frost.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is well-draining. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Pruning: Prune in early spring. These are 'low-maintenance' roses. You can prune individually to shape, or, for large-scale mass plantings, you can use power shears to trim them back by one-third to encourage a flush of new, vigorous growth and continuous blooms.
