DRIFT® BLUSHING GROUNDCOVER ROSE

Rosa Drift® Blushing is a charming and resilient groundcover rose that adds a soft, romantic touch to the landscape. A member of the high-performance Drift® series, it is characterized by its delicate, double blooms that feature a soft pink-to-white gradient, often appearing as a gentle blush over a creamy base. These small, cup-shaped flowers are produced in abundance, blooming in continuous waves from mid-spring until the first frost. The foliage is deep green, glossy, and exceptionally dense, providing a clean and healthy-looking foundation for the pale blossoms.

The ideal spot for Drift® Blushing is a sunny location with well-drained soil, making it a perfect choice for embankments, garden borders, or as a colorful filler in mixed beds. Due to its compact, low-spreading habit, it is also highly effective when used in containers or allowed to spill over the edges of retaining walls. It is remarkably disease-resistant, particularly against black spot and mildew, which keeps the plant looking tidy throughout the season. For optimal performance, provide a light pruning in early spring to shape the plant and encourage a flush of new, flower-bearing growth. Once established, it is quite hardy and requires minimal intervention to maintain its sprawling carpet of blush-colored blooms.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is well-draining. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Pruning: Prune in early spring. These are 'low-maintenance' roses. You can prune individually to shape, or, for large-scale mass plantings, you can use power shears to trim them back by one-third to encourage a flush of new, vigorous growth and continuous blooms.
