DRIFT® APRICOT GROUNDCOVER ROSE

Rosa Drift® Apricot is a standout member of the popular Drift® series, specifically bred to bridge the gap between full-size shrub roses and groundcovers. It produces a profusion of small, double blossoms in a soft, elegant shade of apricot with a warm yellow center. The flowers are held in clusters and appear continuously from late spring until the first hard frost. With its low-growing, spreading habit and dense, dark green foliage, it creates a lush, flowery carpet that is both functional and highly decorative.

The ideal spot for Drift® Apricot is a sunny location with at least six to eight hours of direct light, which is essential for maintaining its "everblooming" characteristic. It is particularly well-suited for planting along the edges of garden beds, spilling over stone walls, or filling in gaps in a mixed perennial border. Because of its compact size, it also performs exceptionally well in containers and hanging baskets. It is highly resistant to common diseases like black spot and powdery mildew and requires very little maintenance - simply a quick shearing in early spring to encourage fresh growth. For the best results, ensure the soil is well-drained and provide consistent moisture during its first season to help establish a deep root system.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is well-draining. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Pruning: Prune in early spring. These are 'low-maintenance' roses. You can prune individually to shape, or, for large-scale mass plantings, you can use power shears to trim them back by one-third to encourage a flush of new, vigorous growth and continuous blooms.
