Zone: 5DOUBLE DELIGHT HYBRID TEA ROSE
Rosa cv. 'ANDeli' is more commonly known as Double Delight Hybrid Tea Rose. Few roses can match the sensory impact of the 'Double Delight' Hybrid Tea Rose, a cultivar that has remained a gold standard in the industry for decades. It is instantly recognizable for its striking bi-color blooms, featuring creamy-white to pale-yellow centers that bleed into a deep, strawberry-red at the petal edges. What makes this rose truly exceptional is its intense, spicy-sweet fragrance, which often fills an entire garden space on a warm afternoon. Because the red pigmentation is triggered by ultraviolet light, the intensity of the "blushing" effect can vary depending on the sun exposure, making every bloom a slightly unique piece of living art.
To see this rose at its peak, it should be planted in a prime, full-sun location with at least six to eight hours of direct light, as shaded spots will result in muted colors and a higher risk of disease. Like most Hybrid Teas, it is a "heavy feeder," requiring regular applications of a balanced rose fertilizer and deep, consistent watering at the base of the plant to keep the foliage dry. It thrives in rich, loamy, well-drained soil and benefits significantly from an annual pruning in early spring to remove old wood and encourage vigorous new canes. In the landscape, it is best positioned near a walkway, patio, or entrance where its world-class perfume can be fully appreciated by anyone passing by.
