Rosa 'Don Juan' is commonly referred to as Don Juan Climbing Hybrid Tea Rose. This beautiful climber features clusters of large, dark velvety-red, fully cupped flowers that have a heavenly tea-fruity fragrance. Blooms in flushes from early summer and throughout the season. Glossy, dark green, leathery leaves and strong stems add to its appeal.
Don Juan Rose is deer resistant and is ideal for arbors, fences and other structures. It does well in hot and humid climates and thrives in full sun in nutrient-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6-8 hours of sunlight. Provide a sturdy trellis or support system immediately. Water deeply at the base. Prune in early spring. Remove any dead or damaged canes. The most important step for flowers is horizontal training: tie the main canes as horizontally as possible to your support structure - this forces the plant to send up vertical, flowering shoots along the entire length of the cane.
