CHRYSLER IMPERIAL™ HYBRID TEA ROSE

Chrysler Imperial Hybrid Tea Rose is one of the first roses to be part of a marketable consumer product - Chrysler Imperial car. It must have been a very showy car to have this rose named after it! This vigorous, landmark rose features long, pointed buds that open to dark velvet-red flowers with a rich rose fragrance. Its straight, strong stems and dark matte-green leaves add to its timeless beauty.

Chrysler Imperial Hybrid Tea Rose thrives in full sun in nutrient rich, evenly moist, well-draining soils. It does not tolerate standing water. It is happiest in hot temperatures.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is rich, well-draining, and amended with organic matter. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Pruning: Prune in early spring, just as the buds begin to swell (but before leaves emerge). Remove all dead, damaged, or diseased wood, then trim healthy stems back to an outward-facing bud to open up the center of the plant for air circulation.
