GREEN MOUND ALPINE CURRANT
Ribes alpinus 'Green Mound' is commonly referred to as Green Mound Alpine Current. It is a dwarf, dense, mounding, deciduous shrub which gets 3-4 feet tall with a 2-3 foot spread. It is a male cultivar which does not bear fruit.
Green Mound Alpine Current is extremely cold hardy with rich green leaves in spring that turn yellow in fall. It is very adaptable, growing in average soil in both full sun to full shade. It is highly tolerant of city environments and is ideal for hedges, foundation or mass plantings.
