RHUS GLA LACINIATA
Grower Notes:

Rhus glabra 'Laciniata' is commonly referred to as Cutleaf Smooth Sumac, Rocky Mountain Sumac, Red Sumac or Western Sumac. It is noteworthy for its delicate, dissected, dark green leaves that turn brilliant orange-red in fall. Small yellow-green to creamy white flowers appear in spring followed by interesting cone-shaped spikes of reddish-purple fruit from early fall through winter. Many birds and small mammals are attracted to this selection for its fruit, including turkey, partridges, mourning doves, and other birds.

Laciniata Smooth Sumac thrives in full sun to partial shade in average, well-drained soils. Ideal for native gardens, stabilizing embankments or for hard to cover areas with poorer soils. You really do not want to miss this fall show!
