STREETSPIRE® OAK

Storm resistant, narrow, columnar tree has up swept branches and is mildew resistant. Beautiful dark green leaves turn rusty red in fall. Similar to Crimson Spire™, but it does not hold its brown foliage through the winter.

It makes a great selection for narrow spaces in the yard or landscape. It is often planted in rows to provide screening or a windbreak. The Streetspire™ oak prefers well-drained soil and full sun.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH, and ensure the soil is rich in organic matter. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth, and consider adding a layer of mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
