AKEBONO DAYBREAK YOSHINO ORNAMENTAL CHERRY
The Akebono Daybreak Yoshino Cherry grows moderately fast to 25' tall and 25-30' wide. Its branching is more upright when young turning horizontal with age. Fluffy clouds of delicate pink flowers appear in spring before the leaves appear. It has brighter pink flowers and is slightly smaller than Yoshino cherry. This is one of the species (along with the Kwanzan Cherry) that is showcased in Washington, D.C.
