Zone: 4BLOODGOOD LONDON PLANETREE
The London Plane Tree is a large, deciduous shade tree that has an early pyramidal habit that gradually forms a more rounded form as it matures. It is a cross between Platanus orientalis and Platanus occidentalis that will reach over 60 feet in its lifetime.
The Platanus 'Bloodgood' is a popular tree to urban environments. Its brown bark exfoliates to reveal patches of white and gray tinged with olive. It thrives in average, well-drained soils in full to part sun. It is ideal for public parks, cemeteries, residential and golf courses.
