VALLEY CUSHION MUGO PINE

Pinus mugo TRUdwarf® is commonly referred to as Valley Cushion Mugo Pine. It is a dwarf, very compact cultivar with a globose habit, growing slowly and reaching only 2-3 feet tall and wise over the first 10 years or so. It then grows very slowly (2-3 inches per year) and features medium green needles about 1 inch long.

Valley Cushion Mugo Pines rarely needs pruning and thrives in full sun in average, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water. It can be drought tolerant once established. It is tolerant of urban pollution and can thrive in city environments. It is extremely hardy and is ideal for rock gardens and foundation plantings.
