SILVER SHEEN SWISS STONE PINE

Pinus cembra 'Silver Sheen' is commonly referred to as the Silver Sheen Swiss Stone Pine. It is an extremely hardy conifer that makes a nice alternative for the Vanderwolf's Pyramid Pine. It has long, two toned, silvery blue and green needles that twist and weave together to form bushy, blue-green branch bundles. It is a tough evergreen that is pest and disease resistant and relatively low maintenance.

The Silver Sheen Swiss Stone Pine should only be grown in full sun. It prefers average moisture in very well-drained soils. It will not survive in standing water. It is ideal as an accent or hedge planting.
