PAPOOSE SITKA SPRUCE

Picea sitchensis 'Papoose' is commonly referred to as the Papoose Sitka Spruce or Papoose Spruce. It is a dwarf, globose blue spruce that will eventually mature with a central leader allowing it to be more broadly conical over time. (Note that in ten years it may reach 20-24 inches in height.) Juvenile needles grow like cute puffballs and age to a showy silvery-blue with green undersides.

The slow growing Papoose Sitka Spruce enjoys full sun in deep, evenly moist, sandy, well, drained soils. Ideal for that special spot in your conifer garden and that perfect deck container.
