Picea mariana 'Wellspire' is more commonly known as Wellspire Black Spruce. It is a tough, hardy, conical evergreen conifer that has a tight columnar form and dark green needles. It will maintain its fastigiate form through maturity.
Wellspire Black Spruce is deer resistant and thrives in full sun in nutrient-rich, moderately moist, well-drained soil. It should be consistently moist and not allowed to dry out in its early years. Ideal for tight areas for a great vertical accent.
