Picea glauca 'Pixie Dust' is commonly referred to as Pixie Dust Alberta Spruce. This Iseli Introduction is a sport of 'Pixie' and is an extremely dense, compact, miniature evergreen conifer. It is slow-growing and features yellow-tipped new growth which brings a dramatic effect that contrasts beautifully with the dark green, mature foliage. It may reach 1.5 feet tall with a half foot spread in about ten years.
Pixie Dust Alberta Spruce has good resistance to verticillium wilt and thrives in full sun to partial shade in organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils.
