Picea abies 'Elegans' is commonly referred to as Elegans Norway Spruce. It is a slow-growing, dwarf, spreading conifer that grows in a hassock-like mound. It has dark green branches that grow into a more flat-topped nest. It is noteworthy for breaking bud and new growth faster than other nest cultivars.
This easy to care for evergreen provides year-round color. It thrives in full sun in evenly moist, well-drained soils. Perfect for small gardens, rock gardens and containers.
