JUNIOR™ BOUQUET GARDEN PHLOX
Phlox paniculata 'Junior Bouquet' is a charming member of the Junior™ series, specifically bred for its compact, well-branched habit and prolific blooming. This dwarf garden phlox produces large, dome-shaped clusters of bright pink flowers, each accented by a distinctive white eye that adds a soft, bi-color contrast. Reaching a height of only 18 to 24 inches, it offers the same sweet fragrance and classic beauty of taller varieties but on a much sturdier, mid-sized frame that rarely requires staking and fits perfectly into smaller garden spaces or large patio containers.
The ideal spot for Junior™ Bouquet is a sunny location that receives at least six hours of direct light, which helps maintain its compact shape and promotes the most vibrant flower color. It thrives in rich, organic soil that is well-drained but stays consistently moist; adding a layer of mulch around the base will help regulate soil temperature and conserve moisture during the heat of midsummer. It is noted for its good resistance to powdery mildew, but providing adequate spacing for air circulation will further ensure the dark green foliage remains clean and healthy. Deadheading spent flower panicles will keep the plant looking tidy and may stimulate a secondary flush of blooms later in the season.
