BLUE PARADISE GARDEN PHLOX

Phlox paniculata 'Blue Paradise' is widely regarded as one of the finest blue-flowering tall garden phlox varieties available. This award-winner is prized for its unique, color-shifting blooms that open a deep violet-blue in the cool light of morning and transition to a rich purple-pink as the sun warms the garden. Growing to a stately height of 3 to 4 feet, it produces large, dome-shaped clusters of honey-scented flowers from mid-summer into early fall, making it a favorite for both pollinators and those seeking a vertical accent in the mid-border.

The ideal spot for 'Blue Paradise' Phlox is a location that receives full sun to very light dappled shade, with plenty of room for air to circulate. It thrives in rich, consistently moist, and well-drained soil; adding a layer of compost or organic mulch annually will help provide the nutrients and moisture retention it needs to flourish. For the best performance, provide regular deep watering during dry spells and deadhead the spent flower panicles to encourage a secondary flush of blooms later in the season.
