GLOWING REVIEWS MOUNTAIN FLEECE
Persicaria amplexicaulis Glowing Reviews™ ('Glowing Reviews') is a high-performance Mountain Fleece celebrated for its striking, two-toned contrast of luminous golden-chartreuse foliage and vibrant cerise-red flower spikes. Forming a well-behaved, clump-forming mound18-24 inches tall (with flowering stems reaching 2 to 3 feet) and up to 3 feet wide, it offers superior vigor and earlier blooming compared to older golden cultivars like 'Golden Arrow'. Beginning in midsummer and continuing through frost, dark red buds open into slender, neon-pinkish-red wands that hover above the bright, heart-shaped leaves, creating an electric focal point in mixed borders, cottage gardens, and rain garden edges while drawing steady pollinator activity.
To perform at its best, Glowing Reviews™ prefers a spot in full sun to partial shade, where its golden foliage resists sun-scorching remarkably well as long as moisture levels are maintained. Thriving across USDA Hardiness Zones 4 through 8, it is exceptionally versatile regarding soil conditions - handling average to rich soils and even heavy clay with ease. It is naturally long-lived, highly resistant to deer and rabbits, and requires virtually no summer pruning, making it a low-maintenance, high-impact choice for season-long architectural color.
