LUMEN GOLD® FOUNTAIN GRASS
This showy yellow fountain grass has foliage that emerges bright gold in spring and then softens to lemon yellow in early summer. It resembles Pennisetum 'Hameln' except it is Yellow! Airy plumes flow above the foliage in late summer through fall, and fall brings hues of gold and orange. Lumen Gold thrives in full to part sun in a fairly dry soil once established.

To help Pennisetum settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in full sun in average, well-draining soil. This variety is a hardy, reliable perennial that will return year after year in our region. It is prized for its graceful, arching foliage and soft, bottlebrush-like plumes that provide significant textural interest from summer into autumn. It performs best with consistent moisture and excellent drainage. Cut the foliage back to the ground in late winter or early spring to encourage fresh growth for the new season.
