RED RAGE® BLACKGUM
Also known as Red Rage® Tupelo, Sour Gum or Pepperidge, this cultivar is a broadly pyramidal shade tree that features bright red new foliage that matures to deep green and then turns scarlet-orange in the fall. Its furrowed black bark adds dimension to this unique tree. It thrives in moist, organic, acidic soils. Does not tolerate urban pollution.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with full sun to partial shade, and ensure the soil is consistently moist but not waterlogged. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote new growth.
