PINK MUHLY GRASS
Muhlenbergia capillaris is commonly referred to as Gulf Muhly Grass or Pink Muhly Grass. This native Muhly Grass has a mounding growth habit with erect, blue-green foliage until September when unique pink seed heads form a fascinatingly beautiful cotton-candy crown. This sought after grass not only has outstanding color, but it is easy to care for and drought tolerant.
The Pink Muhly Grass thrives in full to part sun in sandy, rocky, well-drained soil. It is ideal for tough spots such as highway medians, golf courses and is perfect for steep banks.

To help Muhlenbergia settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in full sun in lean, well-draining soil. They are highly drought-tolerant once established and perform best when kept on the drier side; ensure the planting site has excellent drainage, as they are susceptible to crown rot if allowed to sit in cold, wet soil. In late winter or early spring, cut the foliage back to the ground to refresh the plant for the upcoming season.
