NORTH LIGHT® DAWN REDWOOD
Metasequoia glyptostroboide 'Schirmmann's Nordlicht' is commonly referred here in the States as North Light Dawn Redwood. It originated as a witch's broom mutation on Metasequoia 'White Spot'. This attractive deciduous tree has a dwarf globose form and features variegated cream and yellow waxy, ferny foliage with reddish branchlet highlights. In fall the foliage turns a nice russet brown before it sheds.
North Light Dawn Redwood thrives in full to partial sun in organic rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Its dense, variegated foliage will be variable depending on sun exposure.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in full sun to partial shade with well-draining soil. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize annually with a balanced fertilizer. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote new growth.
