MISS GRACE DAWN REDWOOD

Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Miss Grace' is commonly referred to as Miss Grace Dawn Redwood. It is noteworthy for being the first Metasequoia cultivar with strong, weeping branches. This deciduous tree is a beautiful living sculpture with naturally arching branches. Its small gray-green needles that resemble Taxodium, and thin branches weep gracefully and in fall its foliage turns attractive shades of yellow, orange and red. Peeling red bark adds to winter interest.

Miss Grace Dawn Redwood thrives in full sun in rich, fertile, slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soils.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
