GOLDEN GALA MAGNOLIA

Magnolia 'Golden Gala' is an upright, pyramidal, deciduous tree or large shrub with pale to golden yellow cupped flowers with overlapping tepals. It is a hybrid cross between Magnolia 'acuminata' and Magnolia 'denudata'. It flowers later than most cultivars and its leaves are ovate rich green in summer turning yellow in fall.

Golden Gala Magnolia thrives in full to partial sun in organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soil. Once it is established, it will need only occasional watering.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining acidic soil with a pH between 5.5 and 6.5. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize annually with an acidic fertilizer.
