The Fastigiatum Tulip Tree is also known as the Columnar Tulip Tree. It is a fast-growing selection that retains its narrow, upright form in maturity. Its flowers are yellow with an orange center. Foliage is distinctive-shaped, somewhat like a tulip and emerald green. It turns an attractive gold color in fall.
The Fastigiatum is more upright than the native species and enjoys full sun in rich, moist, well-drained soils.
