AMERICAN SWEETGUM
The Liquidambar styraciflua 'Slender Silhouette', commonly referred to as the Slender Silhouette Sweetgum is a fastigiate, columnar form of Sweetgum that only gets 4-5 feet wide and 40-50 feet tall. This tall, slender tree is ideal for tight spaces and for vertical accents. It is also a clean tree with very few dropped spiky seedpods. Its attractive, glossy, deep green, maple-like leaves mature to a stunning yellow mixed with reds and purples in fall.
The fast-growing Slender Silhouette Sweetgum thrives in full to part shade in moist, well-drained soils. If you are looking for that narrow, upright star attraction for your garden, this is it.
