Zone: 5LILY LOOKS™ SUNNY™ KEYS ORIENTAL LILY
The Lilium orientalis 'Sunny Keys' is a fragrant, dwarf Oriental lily celebrated for its bold, vibrant color, making it an excellent choice for front borders, edging, and containers. This compact variety typically grows to a height of 15 to 18 inches and produces its striking, large blooms in mid to late summer. The flowers feature a vivid color combination of dark pink-red to bright magenta petals sharply outlined with a thin, clean white edge. As a true Oriental lily, 'Sunny Keys' is highly fragrant, attracts beneficial pollinators like hummingbirds and butterflies, and is a fantastic selection for long-lasting cut flower arrangements.
To ensure the best display from this hardy perennial (Zones 4-9), plant in a location that receives full sun to partial sun - ideally a site that keeps the upper plant in sun and the roots shaded. After the summer bloom, deadhead the spent flowers, but leave the foliage intact until it dies back in the fall to allow the plant to store energy for robust flowering the following year.
