LILY LOOKS™ TINY NUGGET ASIATIC LILY

Lilium asiatic 'Tiny Nugget' is a captivating dwarf Asiatic lily known for its vibrant yellow blooms marked with a distinctive speckled center. It is a compact perennial, growing to a height of just 12 to 14 inches and is a perfect choice for containers, the front of borders, or mass planting. It is typically a low-maintenance, reliable rebloomer. Its flowers are a cheerful bright lemon yellow accented by a ring of maroon or burgundy speckles around the throat, creating a dramatic, sun-kissed appearance in early to mid-summer. 'Tiny Nugget' Iris produces multiple, large, upward-facing blooms per sturdy stem, making a significant impact despite its small stature.

'Tiny Nugget' Lily thrives in full sun to partial shade, receiving at least six hours of sunlight daily. It requires moist, well-drained soil, as good drainage is crucial to prevent the bulb from rotting; it is generally adaptable to various soil types but will not tolerate standing water. Water consistently during its growing and blooming period to keep the soil evenly moist. As with all Asiatic lilies, you should deadhead the spent flowers to keep the plant tidy but allow the stem and foliage to completely yellow and die back naturally in the fall. This process is vital for the bulb to store energy for robust flowering in the following season.

Asiatic Lily
Asiatic Lilies are native to several areas of Asia. They are easy to care for and the earliest to bloom in the Lily family. Asiatics are fragrance free and come in so many vibrant colors - some even have double blooms! They thrive in all types of soil as long as it is well-drained (add some sand for drainage). These lilies multiply quickly and their bulbs can double every season.

LA Hybrid Lily
L.A. Hybrid Lilies were introduce back in 1992 and are a cross between longiflorum lilies (Easter Lily) and Asiatic hybrids. They get their trumpet shape and longer vase life from the longiflorum, and their warmer flower colors and upward-facing habit from the Asiatic. They have strong, sturdy stems for cutting and are perfect in containers, beds and borders.

Oriental Lily
Oriental Lilies are native to Japan. They are late bloomers - blooming when Asiatic lilies start to fade. They grow considerably taller than Asiatics and are perfect for cut flowers due to their thick, strong stems and heavily fragrance. Yes - they are very fragrant! Their leaves are wider and grows more heart-shaped and their flowers are star-shaped. Their bulbs multiply slower than Asiatic lilies and thrive in well-drained, organic soil.
