Zone: 5WHOOPS-A-DAISY SHASTA DAISY
Leucanthemum superbum 'Whoops-A-Daisy' (Whoops-A-Daisy Shasta Daisy) is a dwarf, highly compact Shasta Daisy that is a significant improvement over older, smaller varieties like 'Snowcap'. It is prized for its exceptional flower coverage and uniform, mounding habit. It forms an incredibly dense, rounded, ball-shaped mound of dark green foliage. The foliage is virtually blanketed from early to mid-summer by a spectacular mass of large, 3 to 4-inch white flowers with bright gold centers. The flowers have two to three rows of petals, giving them a fuller, fluffier appearance than a typical single-daisy.
'Whoops-A-Daisy' has a compact size and is ideal for the front of a border or for containers, reaching a mature height of 12-15 inches and spreading about 18-24 inches wide. It is low-maintenance, performs best in full sun with well-drained soil, and is noted for being somewhat drought, deer, and rabbit tolerant once established.
