CANAERTII REDCEDAR

Juniperus virginiana 'Canaertii' is commonly referred to as Canaertii Eastern Redcedar. It is a pyramidal evergreen tree with fine, delicate-textured, deep green foliage and profuse powdery blue berries. Its habit becomes loose and open as it matures, becoming even more beautiful.

Canaertii Eastern Redcedar is a long-lived cultivar given proper growing conditions. It is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in full sun in average, sandy, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water. It can be drought tolerant once established. It is tolerate of urban pollution and can thrive in city environments. It is ideal as a screen or hedge for a windbreak or privacy.
