CHINA BOY® BLUE MALE HOLLY
Ilex x meserveae 'Mesdob' is commonly referred to as China Boy® Holly. This vigorous, cold hardy grower is the pollinizer for China Girl® Blue Holly. One male holly can pollinate up to 5 female hollies in close proximity. It features glossy green leaves that are lighter in color than most blue hollies and a compact, mounded habit.
China Boy® Blue Holly is a fast grower that thrives in full to partial sun in rich, acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can be drought tolerant once it is established.
