Ilex crenata LUXUS® Globe ('Annys5') is a compact, naturally spherical Japanese holly cultivar specifically selected as a durable, blight-resistant alternative to traditional dwarf boxwoods. Featuring small, glossy, deep green leaves that retain their rich, dark color year-round, it grows into a tight, dense mound reaching 2-3 feet tall and wide without requiring heavy shearing. Because it is a male selection, it produces no berries and remains tidy and non-messy throughout the seasons. Its fine texture, symmetrical habit, and exceptional resistance to root rot and foliage diseases make it a reliable choice for pristine formal borders, foundation plantings, and low-maintenance evergreen accents.
LUXUS® Globe Japanese Holly thrives in full sun to partial shade in moist, organically rich, well-draining soil with an acidic to neutral pH.
