FORTE CANDYTUFT

Iberis sempervirens 'Forte' (also marketed as Snowsurfer™ Forte) is a superior cultivar of evergreen Candytuft, cherished for creating a spectacular cloud of white in the spring garden. This low-growing, mounding perennial is part of the Snowsurfer™ series and typically reaches a height of 6-12 inches with a spread of 12-18 inches, forming a dense mat of narrow, glossy, dark green foliage. Its key improvement over older varieties lies in its increased vigor, more prolific flowering, and extended bloom time, with clusters of pure white, lightly-scented flowers smothering the plant from early spring well into early summer. Ideal for rock gardens, border edging, cascading over walls, or as a small-scale groundcover, Snowsurfer™ Forte is a highly valuable, long-lived addition that attracts butterflies while resisting deer and rabbits.

'Forte' Candytuft thrives in full sun to partial shade but will produce the most profuse blooms with at least six hours of direct sunlight per day. Excellent drainage is essential, as the plant will not tolerate consistently wet or heavy clay soils. Deadheading spent flowers will promote flowering.
