Hydrangea macrophylla 'Vienna Rawi' Proven Winners® Color Choice® Cityline® Vienna is commonly referred to as Cityline® Vienna Hydrangea. This Proven Winners® Color Choice® Cityline® selection has a natural dwarf habit with giant pink or blue blooms with a cream-colored center. Flower color is pH dependent. The addition of aluminum sulfate to the soil will encourage more vivid blue flower color. Glossy green, leathery foliage is disease and mildew resistant and provides a nice contrast from its blooms.
Cityline® Vienna is easy to grow and thrives in partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist soils. It does not require pruning due to its low growing habit. It is ideal in perennial or shrub borders, as a screen or specimen plant.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining, rich soil protected from the hot afternoon sun. For pink and blue Hydrangea macrophylla varieties, bloom color is pH-dependent; keep soil slightly acidic for blue tones or adjust toward neutral for pink. White varieties remain stable regardless of pH. Water consistently to maintain soil moisture, as this variety is sensitive to drying out. Mulch around the base to keep roots cool and moist.
