Hydrangea macrophylla 'Venice Raven' Proven Winners® Color Choice® Cityline® Venice is commonly referred to as Cityline® Venice Hydrangea. This Proven Winners® Color Choice® selection is a new and improved variety that has bright fuchsia to blue mophead flowers that gradually fade to attractive variations of green tones. Flower color is pH dependent. The addition of aluminum sulfate to the soil will encourage vivid blue flower color. Glossy green foliage is mildew resistant and provides a nice contrast from its blooms.
Cityline® Venice thrives in partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist soils. It makes a great addition to mixed borders, containers and for cut flowers.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining, rich soil protected from the hot afternoon sun. For pink and blue Hydrangea macrophylla varieties, bloom color is pH-dependent; keep soil slightly acidic for blue tones or adjust toward neutral for pink. White varieties remain stable regardless of pH. Water consistently to maintain soil moisture, as this variety is sensitive to drying out. Mulch around the base to keep roots cool and moist.
