Zone: 5DOUBLE PINK ROSE OF SHARON
Hibiscus syriacus 'Double Pink' is commonly referred to as Double Pink Rose of Sharon or Double Pink Flowering Althea. It is a dense, bushy upright deciduous ornamental shrub or small tree featuring rose-pink flowers up to 6" in diameter which cover the flowering shrub from midsummer to frost. Hummingbirds and butterflies love them! Double Pink Rose of Sharon is pest and disease resistant and thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. They can be drought tolerant once they are established. A nice bonus of Hibiscus syriacus cultivars is the ability to manipulate them into a tree shape for a more formal architectural feature.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH, and ensure it receives full sun to partial shade. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer in the spring and summer months. Prune in the late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote new growth.
